The choice of Tanjung Piai carried a special significance for Cape. With “cape” meaning “tanjung” in Bahasa Melayu, the programme offered a fitting opportunity for our people to come together under a shared commitment to caring for the environment.  

The programme began with an aerobics session and opening remarks by Ms. Angeline Ng, ESG Chairperson, followed by a briefing from Encik Ismail, a guide and staff member at Tanjung Piai Johor National Park, on the importance of mangrove ecosystems and coastal conservation. 

Participants took part in three key activities mangrove seedling preparation, mangrove area clean-up and mangrove tree planting gaining hands-on experience while contributing to the conservation of the surrounding ecosystem. 

Beyond environmental conservation, the initiative encouraged teamwork, employee engagement and greater environmental awareness. Through activities like this, Cape EMS continues to strengthen its commitment to sustainability and responsible environmental practices.
