SENIOR DIE CAST ENGINEER (MANUFACTURING)

 
Job Responsibilities
 
  1. Optimize HPDC machine parameters (shot profiles, injection pressures, thermal balance). 
  2. Troubleshoot casting defects (porosity, cold shuts, misruns, soldering, flash). 
  3. Conduct die trials and process validation for new tooling. 
  4. Collaborate with tooling, maintenance, and quality teams. 
  5. Monitor performance indicators (OEE, FPY). 
  6. Implement DOE, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives. 
  7. Support alloy handling and melt quality control. 
  8. Provide guidance and training to junior engineers and technicians. 
  9. Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards. 
 
 
Requirements
 
  1. Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering. 
  2. Minimum 5 years’ experience in aluminium die casting or HPDC manufacturing. 
  3. Hands-on experience in aluminium and zinc die casting process optimization. 
  4. Knowledge of common die casting alloys (ADC12, AlSi12Fe, A380, Zamak). 
  5. Familiarity with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 14001. 
  6. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. 
  7. Experience with casting simulation software (Magmasoft, ProCAST) is a plus. 
  8. Knowledge of Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma continuous improvement methodologies.
